Work with me

This blog is still new, and under development, but I am open to ethical brand collaborations  (I’ll only work with you if I feel we’re a good fit and I would personally use your brand).

I’m particularly interested in working with brands who offer experiences and/ or are committed to championing mental health, humanitarian and/ or DEIB causes.

Here are some ways we can work together:

* Brand ambassadorship
* Affiliate advertising
* Freelance writing
* Product reviews
* UGC content
* Sponsorship
* Speaking

Outside of this blog, I have been self-employed for over a decade. I’ve done some freelance copywriting and proofreading but have mainly been facilitating soft-skills training, coaching and speaking.

You can find out more about the work I have been doing here and here.

I currently have a small-but-loyal following, just from the informal social media posts I was making before I created this blog. Here’s just some of the feedback I’ve received:

Absolutely brilliant read. I was right there with you, even brought tears to my eyes. Cannot wait for the update of what’s happened since you’ve been home.

I have been reading this every day – as someone who also travels solo more recently it’s refreshing to read someone else’s take on the experience . Hope your next trip is less eventful!

I agree with everyone you should write travel book . As a Mauritian myself I have to say it is very impressive and commendable the way you have described and portrayed the Islands. I would say with the utmost confidence and certainty you know the Islands better than I ever will (although maybe not a few secrets spots maybe) and you are definitely more Mauritian than me: you have earned that compliment and its true.

Sam, such beautiful, rich, exciting and moving posts you’ve written about your experience in Zanzibar! I agree with your other friends that you should definitely write this up as a book.

You write in such a captivating style that enriches the reader by your vulnerability and description. Looking forward to following the next stories on your adventure

Wow thank you for sharing with us! What a journey, it was so brave to be so vulnerable and share your adventures, you have kept us entertained and updated, making our dull January more exciting, it takes some skills to navigate safely abroad, especially when you are off the beaten track.

Thank you Sam for sharing your adventures, I felt as though I was there with you, I’m sure I could even smell those spices at times! I couldn’t wait until the next chapter, I would check constantly looking for it. I’m glad you’re home safe and sound but can you go away again soon? My days are going to feel so boring now!
